About Linton

Linton is a member of the Republican Party running to be the District 9 Representative of the Lafayette Parish School Board, representing Youngsville, Milton, and Broussard.

A conservative with a background in Accounting, Finance, and Banking, he will ensure proper management of our tax dollars. As a father, pastor, and substitute teacher for Lafayette Parish Schools, he knows our community and the needs of our students and educators. Linton will fight for what's best for all students and their families, as well as for educators and the growing communities he represents in South Lafayette Parish.

Linton is married to Rachel Lacy Broussard and together they have 3 children, one adult son and two sons currently attending and thriving in Lafayette Parish Public Schools.

Ensure all students succeed

Ensure that all students are given the best opportunity to learn in an environment that provides the ability to grow and learn according to their needs.

Prioritize the budget

Create a budget that ensures that our tax dollars are used in the best way possible.

Improve teacher retention rates

Create healthy environments where both teachers and administration feel supported and properly compensated for their work.

Provide proper athletic facilities

Provide the proper facilities and equipment as appropriate for different schools and grade levels.

Simplify the dress code

Create a dress code policy that is easy to understand and comply with across all grade levels.

Improve bus transportation

Create additional opportunities to train and employ new full time and part time drivers.

Increase community support of schools

Engage families and businesses to actively participate in school activities and programs
